Installing the client components for IBM FileNet

Use the following list of actions to install BlueCielo ImandrA on a client computer for use with IBM FileNet:

To install the BlueCielo ImandrA client components:

1. Install Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 or higher, if necessary.
2. Install FileNet IDM Desktop as described in Installing FileNet IDM Desktop for ImandrA.
3. Install any necessary FileNet IDM Desktop hot fix packs as described in Installing FileNet IDM Desktop hot fix packs.
4. If applicable, install any OutsideIn update files as described in Updating the OutsideIn viewer files.
5. Install BlueCielo ImandrA Desktop using the setup program on the distribution disc.
6. Install the FileNet Content Services Explorer Administration Tool with the setup program included with FileNet Content Services (optional for user, group, and storage management).
7. Open the ODBC Data Source Administrator and add a new System DSN with the SQL Server driver using the options described in the following table. Accept the default settings for the remaining options.

8. Test the new DSN and resolve any connection errors before proceeding to the next step.
9. Open the IDM Configure utility and add the necessary libraries to Preferred Libraries.

1. Select Set preferences for currently logged on user.
2. Click the Add button. The Add Library dialog appears.
3. Enter options using the descriptions in the following table.

4. Click OK to save your changes.

10. Edit the file named dataconfiguration.config with the following changes or update it as described in Distributing updated files. By default, the file is located in the folder C:\Program Files\BC-ImandrA\Common Files\MEntLib\1.5.0.0\Config.

1. Replace DatabaseX with the name of the library entered in step 9.
2. Replace ServerY with the name of the DSN created in step 8.
3. Change the value of the Integrated Security parameter to False.
4. Save your changes and close the file.
